Jaysean Paige arrived on Tyneside in August 2017 and on his debut scored 30 points in a 148-60 win vs Leeds Force. He went on to average 23 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals per game in his only season with the Newcastle Eagles. He was voted player of the season by the supporters for the 2017-2018 season.

After leaving the Eagles at the end of the season he moved to France and joined Union Basket Chartres Masculin where he averaged 13 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds per game as the team had a losing 7-27 record in the league.

Jaysean Paige joined Maine Red Claws who play in the NBA G League and are owned by Boston Celtics. During this season he has averaged 11 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds per game playing alongside Tacko Fall.
